SaxaTool Technical Manual & Operations Guide
This document contains structural specifications and deployment instructions for the SaxaTool High-Speed Acoustic Intonation Chartplotter hardware and standalone software telemetry platform.
Engineering Run Notice (DIY Aesthetics)
This device belongs to an early production run of independently developed engineering hardware. The enclosure is 3D-printed from PLA plastic (raw, low-cosmetic, utilitarian finish). Internal routing is hand-assembled using point-to-point hardware wiring for maximum long-term durability. It is engineered for scientific-grade accuracy, not industrial cosmetic gloss.
1. System Requirements
The standalone telemetry processing executable relies on direct hardware streaming via USB COM architecture.
- Supported OS: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit architecture native execution only).
- Legacy OS Support: Windows XP, 7, 8, and 8.1 are explicitly NOT supported.
- Cross-Platform Ecosystem: macOS, Android, and iOS builds are currently not included or supported.
- Hardware Ports: 1x Available standard USB port capable of continuous bus power delivery.
2. Package Kit Contents
Depending on your chosen purchase tier, the package container includes:
- Standard Kit: 1x Calibrated SaxaTool Hardware Analyzer Device (Alto, Tenor, or Soprano single-profile), 1x Standard heavy-duty USB-B to USB-A interface cable.
- PRO Kit: 1x Universal SaxaTool Hardware Analyzer Device (All instrument profiles integrated into one module), 1x Standard heavy-duty USB-B to USB-A interface cable.
- Delivery Media: 1x Hardcopy Verification Card containing a direct web download URL and an instant-access QR-code path for the application code.
3. Hardware Interface & Workbench Deployment
- Place the SaxaTool enclosure flat on your workbench or studio desk surfaces.
- Position the integrated microphone aperture between 30 cm to 100 cm away from the instrument output field.
- Ensure zero physical contact exists between the device and the instrument chassis. No physical clamps or clips are necessary, mitigating risk to delicate vintage lacquers or custom chemical finishes.
- Connect the provided interface line from the device chassis to your Windows workstation. The platform runs entirely on standard USB bus power.
4. Software Deployment & Run Instructions
The companion code architecture is distributed as a single, compiled portable binary requiring zero registry modifications or system installation frameworks.
- Acquire the standalone application execution file
SaxaToolTuner.exevia the secure download path provided in your automated purchase documentation or package verification card. - Transfer the standalone
.exefile directly to your local drive system (e.g., Desktop or Documents directory). - Double-click to launch the executable file. No installation wizard or background configuration bloatware will execute.
- Within the software control panel, select your corresponding saxophone profile from the options matrix.
- Initiate a legato chromatic scale to begin streaming data trails across the real-time intonation graph window.
5. Operating Environment & Environmental Limits
- Thermal Limits: Indoor and studio bench parameters only. Due to the thermal characteristics of PLA plastic composition, do not expose the hardware to extreme heat fields, direct solar radiation inside vehicles, or ambient environments exceeding 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Moisture Exposure: Keep the device isolated from high fluid humidity fields or direct water contamination. The enclosure venting paths are optimized for raw acoustic data input and are not waterproof.
